1. Who we are and what Nido is
Nido is a platform for communities (apartment buildings, gated communities and condominiums) in Argentina that sorts out who comes in and who gets notified: a doorbell with a QR code, messages between visitors, residents and the front desk, bookings of shared spaces, notices and other administration tools. It is offered by Atheris.
These terms apply to everything that is part of Nido: the resident app, the admin console, the visitor web page and this website (nido.atheris.com.ar).
For questions about Nido or to ask us for changes, write to soporte.nido@atheris.com.ar.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account, signing in with a code or using Nido as a visitor, you accept these terms and the Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use Nido.
You must be of legal age.
3. Who uses Nido and how
Nido has different kinds of use. What you can do depends on your role:
- Visitor: someone who rings a doorbell by scanning a QR code. No account needed.
- Resident: someone who lives in a unit and was invited by their community. They sign in with their email.
- Front desk: someone who answers a community’s doorbell.
- Administration: someone who manages a community: units, people, services, notices and plans.
- Nido team: people who provide support and run the service.
One email address can have more than one role. Each role has its own rules, which are explained in the app and in the console.
4. Account and access
- In the app you sign in with a code sent to your email; in the admin console, with your email and a password. You are responsible for your email and for not sharing the code or the password.
- Everything done with your account is considered done by you, unless you tell us that someone else got in.
- You must give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
- If you have several phones, the session may be open on all of them. Deleting the account closes all of them.
- After a period without use, you may be asked to sign in again.
5. What you can and cannot do
You can use Nido for what it was made for: communicating with your community, receiving visitors and managing your unit.
You cannot:
- Use it to harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against other people.
- Upload or send content that is illegal, offensive or that you are not entitled to share (for example, data or photos of third parties without their permission).
- Pretend to be another person or a front desk.
- Try to get into accounts, units or communities that are not yours.
- Test, alter, copy or reverse engineer the service, or automate its use in a way that affects others.
- Share an access or invitation QR code for a purpose other than the one it was created for.
We may suspend or remove an account or content that breaks these rules, notifying you when possible.
6. Content and messages
- What you write is yours. You give us permission to store it, show it to the people in the conversation and to the relevant front desk and administration, and use it so that the service works.
- You are responsible for what you write. Nido does not review messages before they are sent.
- Doorbell messages are visible in the app for a limited time and then move to a history (see the Privacy policy).
- If you delete your account, what you wrote stays in the community signed as “Deleted resident”.
7. Doorbells, access and devices
- Nido notifies about a doorbell and allows communication. It does not replace the front desk, the community’s security or an alarm.
- When the community sets up devices (doors, barriers, locks), Nido can send them an opening order. Opening depends on the network, the devices and external providers, and it may fail or be delayed.
- Nido does not guarantee that every notice, message or order arrives, or that it arrives on time. Phone notifications depend on your phone’s operating system and on third-party services.
- The decision to open or not to open for someone belongs to whoever makes it (the resident or the front desk), not to Nido.
8. Communities and administration
- The community (through its administration) is the one that contracts Nido, decides which services it uses and whom it invites.
- The administration is responsible for making sure that the people it adds or invites are authorized, and for the information it enters about them.
- When a person leaves the community, the administration must remove them.
- Nido may change or remove the access of a community that breaks these terms or the service agreement.
9. Plans, prices and payments
- Communities access Nido through a subscription plan with its price and conditions, which are disclosed before contracting.
- Residents, the front desk and visitors do not pay to use the app.
- Invoicing, taxes, price updates and cancellation of the service are agreed with the community when contracting.
10. Availability of the service
We do what is reasonable so that Nido works continuously, but we do not guarantee that it will work without interruptions or errors. There may be maintenance work, failures of providers or of the internet, and force majeure. We may modify or discontinue features; we will give reasonable notice when it affects a community.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- Nido is offered “as is”, with no guarantee of results.
- Nido is not liable for damage caused by misuse of the service, by other users’ content, by decisions to open doors, by failures of the internet, of devices or of external providers, or for the loss of the chance to act on a notice.
- Our total liability to a community is limited to what it paid for the service.
- None of this limits what the law does not allow to be limited (for example, willful misconduct or consumer rights).
12. Your account’s security
We look after Nido’s security with reasonable practices (encrypted communications, control over who sees what, a log of administration actions). No system is perfect. If you think someone got into your account, you can delete it from the app to close it immediately.
13. Intellectual property
Nido, its brand, its design and its software belong to Atheris. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and revocable license to use the app under these terms. You may not copy, sell or sublicense the service. The content you upload remains yours (clause 6).
14. Personal data
How we treat your data is described in the Privacy policy. You can delete your account whenever you want from the app (see Delete your account).
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We publish the new version with its date, and when the change is important we will tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using Nido after the date of the change, it is understood that you accept it; if you do not agree, you can stop using it and delete your account.
16. Suspension and termination
- You can stop using Nido or delete your account whenever you want.
- We may suspend or close an account or a community that breaks these terms, that puts other people at risk or that commits fraud.
- Upon termination, the clauses on intellectual property, limitation of liability and data remain in force.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic.
18. Miscellaneous
- If a part of these terms is not valid, the rest remains in force.
- The fact that we do not demand something at a given moment does not mean we give up demanding it later.
- These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the entire agreement between you and Nido on the use of the service.
