Who is responsible
Nido is an application for communities (apartment buildings and gated communities) that sorts out who comes in and who gets notified. It is offered by Atheris. You can write to them at hola@atheris.com.ar.
What data we use and what for
| Data | What for | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| Your email | To create your account and send you the code to sign in | You and your community’s administrators |
| Your unit and your community | To know whom to notify when someone rings the doorbell | You, the others in your unit, the administration and the front desk |
| Doorbell messages and messages between residents | So that the visitor and your unit can communicate | The people in the conversation and the front desk |
| Photos attached by a visitor | So that you know who is at the door | Your unit and the front desk |
| Unit contact (name, email, phone) | So that the administration can reach the unit | The community’s administration |
| License plates of authorized vehicles (entered by the resident) | So that the front desk knows which vehicles may enter | Front desk and administration |
| Code to notify you on your phone (notifications) | To notify you of a doorbell or a message | Nido and your phone’s notification service |
| How you arrived at the app (install referrer) | To open the invitation your community sent you | Only the app, on your phone |

What permissions the app asks for
- Camera: to scan your unit’s invitation QR code. It does not take or store photos.
- Fingerprint or face: to unlock the app. The data stays on your phone and does not leave it.
- Vibration: a short alert when a doorbell or a message arrives. It does not record audio.
- Internet: to talk to Nido’s server.
We do not use your location or your microphone. There is no advertising.
Who we share data with
We do not sell data. We use providers who process it on our behalf, only for what Nido needs: storing the data and verifying your identity, sending you notifications on your phone and sending you emails.
How long we keep it
- The photos attached by a visitor are deleted after 30 days.
- The name and phone number left by a visitor are deleted after 30 days.
- Doorbell messages are visible in “Messages” for 24 hours and then move to the history, which shows the last year.
- The community’s activity logs (who did what in the administration) are kept for one year.
- The anonymous statistics on the use of the visitor web page are deleted after 90 days.
- Your account and your personal data are kept until you delete it or until the community removes you.
Your rights
You manage your data from the app, and deleting your account too: Delete your account.
To ask about or request changes to your data, write to us at soporte.nido@atheris.com.ar.
What we cannot delete on our own
- The text of a message may contain personal data that you wrote (a name, a phone number). When you delete your account the message stays signed “Deleted resident”, but the text remains.
- A unit contact entered by the administration with only a name or a phone number (without your email) is something we cannot recognize as yours: ask the administration to delete it.
Security
Communications travel encrypted (HTTPS). In the app you sign in with a code sent to your email; in the admin console, with your email and a password.
Minors
Nido is for adults.
